Thank You's

I WILL NEVER EVER FIND THE RIGHT WORDS TO THANK ALL OF THE PEOPLE WHO WERE (AND STILL ARE) SO HELPFUL IN DEALING WITH THE LOSS OF OUR BABY BOY.

First and foremost, thank you to my husband and my son Miles. You guys are the most important people in my life. No one could ever make me smile through the tears like you guys do. I appreciate every second I have with you and I love you both so much.

Thank you to all of the nurses who were there for my labor & delivery - Shannon, Maria, Krissy, Carolyn, Molly, and Peggy O. - you guys took such wonderful care of me and my family. You really helped turn such a sad, depressing, unexpected event in our lives into an unforgettable and beautiful memory.

Thank you to all of my co-workers in the NICU, Mother/Baby, and Labor & Delivery departments who helped us in any way - especially to Melissa and Deb - you guys made me realize how giving and selfless people can be and how truly happy I am to work with you all.

Thank you to all of Mike's co-workers for all of your help - I feel like you guys all hardly knew us before this all happened, and the amount of gratitude everyone has shown to us has truly left me speechless.

Thank you to my entire family for all of your cards, emails, phone calls, everything. Losing Shane has made me appreciate even more the loving and wonderful family that I do have with me here on earth, and I will never forget how much you all cared through all of this.

Thank you to my parents and my parents-in-law for helping us with Miles so that we could have time to grieve on our own, as well as helping us with Shane's cremation and memorial service. There is so much more I could list here, but I'll just say thank you for everything.

Thank you to all of our friends for everything you did or offered to do for us if we needed it, even if it was just an email or a phone call. All we needed sometimes was just someone to make us laugh and smile, and that's what you did. There are really no better friends out there.

Thank you to Christie & Dan Novak for sending me the beautiful necklace charm. I love it because it really makes me feel like I have a piece of Shane with me wherever I am.

Thank you to all the people who donated to Grace Lutheran Church, Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep Foundation, or the March of Dimes in memory of our little angel.

Thank you to all the people who join us each year in remembering Shane by walking with us or donating to Shane's Gang for the March for Babies!
